Position: Direct Sales Representatives

Job Purpose: To achieve business objectives and sales targets by proactively selling Bank products, including driving growth in customer deposits, assets, and the carded customer base. This role focuses on acquiring new-to-bank customers, increasing transactional activity, and promoting digital product adoption to ensure sustained business growth.

Reports to: Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  1. Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas for customer deposits, personal loans (assets), and new account openings.
  2. Identify and qualify prospective retail customers through systematic prospecting, cold calling, door-to-door visits, and field activations.
  3. Proactively onboard new potential retail customers to expand the bank’s market reach.
  4. Drive the expansion of the bank’s personal asset and liability portfolio by promoting diverse financial products.

 Product Promotion & Digital Adoption

  1. Actively promote and onboard customers onto alternate channels such as mobile banking, agency banking, and other E-channels to drive transactional growth.
  2. Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell bank products, including cards and insurance, based on a thorough analysis of customer financial needs.
  3. Engage in specific product campaigns and marketing activations to increase brand awareness and product uptake.

  Relationship Management & Service

  1. Maintain stable relationships with existing clients to minimize attrition through regular courtesy calls and high-visibility support.
  2. Conduct financial needs assessments for clients to provide suitable advice and appropriate product options.
  3. Act as a primary contact for customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution or escalation according to bank policy.

Compliance & Reporting

  1. Ensure all customer onboarding documentation is accurate and complies with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.
  2. Gather and share field information regarding competitor activity and customer trends to support future product development.
  3. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, including activity pipelines and sales achievements.

Experience.

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience in direct sales or a customer-facing role is preferred.

Skills and competencies.

  • Continuous update of How-to Manuals with all new applications to ensure proper systems continuity
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
  • Good negotiation and selling skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of bank processes and procedures.
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities from market intelligence and make value-adding recommendations.
  • A team player with ability to lead and work under minimum supervision.
  • Business acumen.
  • Mature disposition in the handling of external stakeholder
