Position: Financial Planning & Analytics Manager

Job Summary: To drive the Bank’s financial results by managing comprehensive business performance reporting and the end-to-end budgeting process across all segments and products. The job holder acts as a strategic partner to executive management, providing insightful MIS to guide data-driven decision-making and ensure delivery of organizational targets. Additionally, the role is responsible for safeguarding the Bank’s profitability through rigorous revenue assurance checks, preventing income leakage, and ensuring accurate application of tariff guides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated financial performance reports for the bank by segment, covering income, costs, impairments, and balance sheet movements.
- Analyse and report costs by function and cost centre, including direct costs and allocated indirect costs, with performance commentary against budget.
- Develop financial forecasts and revised annual projections with insights to support executive management decision-making.
- Support strategy implementation and long-term business planning in collaboration with the CFO to achieve strategic objectives.
- Prepare short- and medium-term budgets for all functions and cost centres across the bank.
- Provide financial analysis and interpretation of operational and financial data to guide business performance and future trends.
- Conduct cash flow projections and business performance analysis, identifying factors affecting financial outcomes.
- Prepare management and board reporting, including Monthly Performance Review packs and quarterly Board reports on income, costs, and capital expenditure versus budget.
- Monitor key financial indicators, including daily balance sheet movements, segment performance, and key financial ratios.
- Engage stakeholders and support performance improvement initiatives, including competitor analysis, branch profitability reviews, product development support, procurement oversight, ALCO inputs, and funds transfer pricing discussions.
- And any other duties as directed by the CFO and Management.
Education.
- A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Economics or any other related fields. CPA/ACCA is an added advantage.
Experience.
- A minimum of five years post qualification experience preferably in a financial institution at senior management level is preferred
